We can find out if a youth is having an adverse reaction or normal side effect of medication by finding out if we require interventions to overcome the effects as in the case of adverse reaction in contrast most side effects can be spontaneously resolved with time. Apart from this since side effects are extensively studied in clinical trials we can predict them in advance while this is not the case with an adverse reaction.
