Two factors that determine the demand for education in less developed countries are as follows

1) Distance from the school and geographical distribution of school place- In less developed countries people prefer schools which are nearest to their house so that they can do other work also. The further the school the lower the enrollment.

2) Quality of schooling- In less developed countries the number of qualified teachers is less and also the availability of textbooks are less. Student-teacher ratio and availability of textbooks affect the demand of education.
