Nursing is the field in heaqlth care profession that has expanded rapidly and widely in last few decades. This field has expanded its range and has developed high level specialities and areas of practice.

Two of the nursing areas of speciality that i am concerned and interested in are critical care nursing and Psychiatric nursing.

Critical care nursing is the field that defines itself through the hospital and ehalth facility units in which they are provided. The role of the criticla care nurse is to help patient during intensive care and emergency care. Trauma nursing is also a part of critical care nursing. This field has sharpo rise in salary and hike in packages and also seen to have varied exposure to service and practices. Here, the nurse is able to provide the services with clinical expertise in it.

Psychiatric nursing is the field concerns the role of nurse in assisting the mentally ill aptients. The nurses in this field helps patient with mental diseases in the in-patient care and hospital facilities and provides assistance with their daily routine, medication, safety and counselling. The patient's of Alzheimer's and dementia are also provided home care through this field of nursing.

Both these facilities are different in their arena, but interest me with their diverse nature and exposure to practice.
