I need some help getting started with a writing assignment in physiology. I need to do the following: You will identify and explain in writing three separate examples from your own life that illustrate any three concepts covered in the class (for example, parenting styles -- you could describe which parenting style you were raised with I have chosen the social development in early childhood. The parenting styles I'm looking at are Authoritarian because I feel my parents fit in the type of parenting style, the police officer/drill sergeant style of parenting and Neglectful/uninvolved. I need help in getting started in explaining how these three concepts was apart of my like growing up. I'm having trouble getting started. Please HELP! Thank youll

Parenting styles

Parenting is a process of raising and educating a child from birth until adulthood. Each parents have there own styles of parenting but there are similarities from one parent to another. Studies show that there are four types parenting style, that we can see across the world despite of different culture. Social development of early childhood largely depend on the type of parenting style. The commonly found parenting styles are:

* Authoritarian parenting style ( Strict discipline and punishment)

* Authoritative parenting style ( Clear Disciplinary rules but communicative and nurturing)

* Permissive type parenting( Open communication and permission for the child to take decisions)

* Neglected/ uninvolved parenting style ( freedom for the child to do anything he wants).

*Authoritarian parenting style

Authoritarian style is also known as Disciplinarian style. In this type of parenting, Parents use punishment to impose strict discipline without much communication and explanation of rules. They also less nurturing and highly demanding in nature.

Children of this type of parents are tend to have low self esteem and timid.

*Police officer/ drill Sergeant style of parenting

This type of parenting is same as authoritarian style. Parents,who adopted drill Sergeant style of parenting , are getting done things by their children through intimidation or by creating fear in them. Like soldiers under a Seargeant, who actually don't want to work but out of fear of punishment they do. Same as the children of this type of parents. Children will be emotionally distant from this type of parents as there is no bond between them. They lack trust in their parents.

* Neglectful/ uninvolved

Neglectful parents are also known as uninvolved parents. They have little warmth and nurturing nature. This type of patents expect the child to do things whatever they want or to raise themselves. They may be engaged in other things always like job, household works or may have any mental illness.

Children of neglectful parents may tend to be delinquents or they may suffer with some type of emotional or academic problems and low self esteem and unhappiness.
