Market Newman is known as one of the nursing theorist who proposed Theory of Health Expanding Human Consciousness. She was born in Memphis Tennessee in 1993. She follows Christian religion as she was raised in Christan family.

As she was raised in Christian family, she was much focused and found interest in missionary services. She was inspired by her nursing roomate and hence indulge herself in taking care of her sick mother.

The theory of Health expanding human consciousness includes that the informational capacity of the human being is connected with the surroundings. It means whatever the circumstances are, person will be able to be conscious about the surroundings.

She has contributed in the nursing profession as well as have major impact on today's nursing practice. She assisted patient for their recovery, she taught nursing to the students in Minnesota University. She became role model for nursing students and hence the quality of care provided to the patients enhanced.
