If using students 4, 5 and 6 only

By ordinal scale like rank ordering

Then we lose the information of their actual performance

We can say that student 4 has performed the best among the three students

But we have no information on how better has that student performed actually

Where in reality student 4 has also performed very poor and actually failed

But we can not know this crucial information from ordinal scaling based on students 4,5 and 6

Where all these 3 students have failed and got bad marks
