2 ml Albumin+ 1 ml Pepsin 2 drops of 0.1N HCl 2 Q14. A fat free carton of milk was tested for casein content. The precipitate obtained after addition of 2 ml lemon juice to 30 ml of warm milk (700F) was filtered and dried completely. The weight of the dried casein was found to be 1.1 gm. The label shows that one serving size (240 ml) has 8 gm protein. Determine if the label is accurate and if not, then calculate the % error. Show calculations 2m GOOD LUCK

According to the problem; 1.1 gm casein present in 30 ml milk Now calculate the amount in 240 ml as follows: 1.1 gm casein /30 ml *240 ml; 8.8 gm casein While label shows there is 8.0 gm casein present Thus label is not accurate. Percent error is the difference between a measured and known value divided by the known value, multiplied by 100% % error measured value - known value/ known value]*100 =[ 8.8 -8.0/8.0 ]*100 = [0.8/8]*100 = 10%
