Nursing is called a profession because of its own body of knowledge and it has a well sculpted code of ethics, principles to practice effectively. Contemporary practice is the innovative way of practicing nursing following the codes without getting oneself into ethical and legal viability.

The contemporary issues in regard to the professional misconduct are considered to be on rise due to various factors were a health care provider is not meeting the criteria and clause in promoting and providing the comprehensive care to the client. These may include

#when the credit provider engages himself or herself to be incompetent or neglect the care of a client by not respecting the dignity, their culture, cast or creed.

# Not obtaining an informed consent before any procedure or treatment or care (includes after validation of previous consent).

# being sexually or physically abusive when the clients information obtained privately and using this to behave in the above mentioned way.

# when the health care provider practices beyond his scope of profession by not practicing the profession reflectively and ethically and for instance prescribes medication to himself or others, administers covert medication without multidisciplinary permission.

#Abondoning or neglecting a patient in the need of immediate care.

Thus all the above mentioned contemporary issues will make the professional to lose his conduct and to not effectively practice.
