yes owning a refrigerator and owning a car independent events ,because refrigerator and car both are different things. probabilty of owning a refrigerator doesnt effect the probability of owening a car.

no,owning a bike and owning a cars not independent events because both are vehicles . a person who is owner of bike may or may not be owner of car. so probabilty of owning a bike  effect the probability of owening a car.
