Answer #1

(Here we are asked to explain to the patient regarding her health condition in Layman’s terms . Layman’s term is nothing but we have to explain the details to the patient In a simple and easy manner which she can understand , because patient can’t understand the medical terminologies that we are using )

So we will start like this ;

Last time you came here for health evaluation right , on that day your blood was taken to test any abnormalities in lipids such as cholesterol and triglycerides as you have family history of heart disease. Cholesterol in blood helps to build up cells and triglycerides provides energy to our body . High and low level of these lipids is a problem for our body . So in your blood report it shows a high level . So high level of Cholesterol and triglycerides cause heart problems so inorder to avoid such complications doctor has adviced to make some changes in your diet and also prescribed medications to take at right time . If you have any doubts please feel free to clarify .
