Categories of contaminants in the food supply; •Biological contamination •Chemical contamination •Physical contamination •Cross contamination these four are the major contaminants in the food supply.

Three microbiological agents that are implicated in foodborne illness : some pathogens of foodborne illness are E.coli, Salmonella, Listeria, Cyclospora, Hepatitis A these are the several agents which creates foodborne illness in our body.

Prevention of foodborne illness : major measures of prevention are •Cleanliness •Separate - dont cross contaminate •Cook - cook to proper temperatures •chill -Refrigerate promptly.
