i need to write about a scenario that may conflict with my Christian Perspectives. i need to address any conflicts i may have felt about counseling a patient in womens health regarding contraception, sexual health, abortion, subatance abuse, family planning etc. also i need to explain how would i handle theses concerns in a clinical situation?

Healthcare professionals can handle patients effectively only when they are highly skilled in all aspects. Spiritualism is one such part which can affect or touch a patient more emotionally than physical problems.

For instance a scenario describing a women approaching for abortion. This generally raises a conflict in the Christian perspective that it is not allowed are acceptable to kill a unborn life. The decision made by the women will be the final in this, whether to proceed or to terminate.Some of the ways to address this conflict are

• History collection thoroughly whether it was a planned or unplanned happening. Even history regarding abuse can be gathered to make a rationalized assessment
• Identifying the need of the procedures
• Educate about the benefits and harms in regards to it
• Clarify the doubts of the women
• Encourage them to communicate and come out with the problems to provide a solution

In clinical situation it can be handled in the following way

• Assessing tthe ge knowledge level of the patient enables to know what plan of care to be initiated
• Respect the women when they raise queries, this gives them a sense of dignity shine getting clarified
• Do not provide wrong reassurance, this can affect the patient very much
