Venous lake:- A Venous lake is a generally solitary , soft , compressible, dark blue to violaceous, 0.2 - 1 cm papule commonly found on sun exposed surfaces of the vermilion border of the lip, face and ears.
Causes :- Chronic sun damage to the walls of the superficial veins.
Treatment:- - surgical excision,
- laser therapy .

Spider or star angioma :- It is a type of telangiectasis ( swollen blood vessels) found slightly beneath the skin surface , often containing a red spot and reddish extensions which radiate outwards like a Spider web.
They are commonly benign presenting in around 10- 15% healthy adults and young children.
Causes:-
- failure of sphincteric muscle surrounding a cutaneous arteriole.
- liver disease,
- Hormonal changes,
- Injuries,
- sun exposure.
Signs and symptoms:-
- Aching or burning in the area of vessels cluster.
Treatment:-
- Usually resolves spontaneously,
- Electrodesiccation and laser treatment if present on face,
- Liver transplant if it is due to the liver disease.
