pH = pKa+ log[conjugate base]/[acid]
here acid is Ha and its conjugate base is A-
when their concentrations are equal; [HA]= [A-]

log[conjugate base]/[acid]= log 1 = 0

thwn pH = pKa +0
hence pH = pKa
