6)Prescribed dose of hepatitis B vaccine = 5 mcg

The vaccine labelled= 10mcg/ml

10mcg vaccine is contained in 1 ml

So for 5mcg vaccine = 1/10 × 5=0.5 ml

Hence,the nurse should administer 0.5 ml of Hepatitis B vaccine.

7)Prescribed dose of Zofran= 4 mg

Dose of Zofran available in market= 2mg/ml

So the nurse should administrator= 1/2× 4= 2ml

8)IVF@25 cc/ hr continue

In 8 hrs= 25× 8= 200cc

TPN@50cc /hr

In 8 hr= 50× 8= 400cc

Lipids@ 10cc/hr for 12 hours

In 8 hrs= 10× 3= 30cc

NGT feeds@25 cc/ hr

In 8 hrs= 25× 8= 200ml

Unit of blood in 8 hrs= 250 ml

Unit of IV vancomycin in 8 hrs= 250 ml

Total intake in 8 hours= 200+ 400+ 30+ 200+ 250+ 250= 1330cc

9) The patient's 8 hours output= 100+ 50+ 15+ 150+ 10+110+5+50+60= 550ml

10)Total intake= 1330cc

Total output= 550ml

1cc= 1ml

Difference= 1330ml- 550ml= 780ml
