I would like to identify the topic or concept of Evidence Based Practice through Continuing Education for the Nurses in the Emergency care or for all Nuses working in the Hospital.

Every day Nurses are loaded with work in rendering care to the patients.It is important that Nurses render Comprehensive health care to patients.Comprehensive simply means Preventive, Curative, Restorative and Promotive care.For which evidence based practice is important.There are loads of research thats' done to improve the quality of care to the Patients.Many times these research results are not communicated back where in to put in practice for the beneft of the patients as well as for the benefit of the staffs.This should be practiced through Continuing Education.

Continuing Eduction has its own significance.It helps the Nurses

• To gain knowledge regarding the current trends, technology.
• To gain skill through demonstration of new skill or any device.
• To update the old concept with the new concept.
• To clarify doubts which helps to gin confidence in the area of lack.
• To aid team spirit.
• To maintain good interpersonal relationship with other team members.
• To make every Nurse confident in providing advanced care to the Patients

Through Continuing Education the topics of all Research articles can be discussed and presented

• How has these research helped in assessing the deficiency of care
• How can Nuses overcome the deficient care towards patients.
• What are the identified causes that lead to illhealth of the patient
• Why is it important to follow what we are following, the scientific principles behind it
• what are the ways of preventing it.Examples on Universal Precaution, Nosocomial Infection, Aseptic techniques.

When Continuing Education is provided make all arrangements:

• Education to all shift Nurses to be arranged.After their shift provisions to be made.Night shift Nurses can be excluded.
• It should not be a pressure over the staffs
• Making the class interesting willl draw Nurses willingly
• Arranging for refreshments are important.
• Certificate for attending the classes can be motivating
• Avoid lengthy classes which might be tiresome and boring to the staffs.
• Asking for feedback regarding the sessions are important
• All Evidence based practice, its importance in following topics can be discussed in the sessions.
