They'd have to think of imaginative and innovative ways to slip into their songs lyrics about sex and drugs. On the opposite, the Rolling Stones are influenced by jazz, rhythm and blues. They never experimented with different instruments, using the usual guitar, drums, and bass in general. Their "bad boy" image allowed them to avoid singing about offensive topics like sex and drugs. The Stones had their music with a raw and intense sound that mirrored their musical inspirations like Chuck Berry, while the Beatles had a lighter sound that represented their respect for Elvis. The bands have forever changed their reputation and the music industry.
