It is used to improve the quality. That is higher quality care with lower cost in terms of manpower, money and material. It can be achieved by the following

• Adequate staffing
• Prevent nosocomial infection
• Avoid medication errors
• Proper inventory
• Reduce waiting and transport time

Using FOCUS PDCA through illustrations :

• Find process : Administration of medication in medical ward.
• Organize a team which include Physician, senior nurse and staff nurses.
• Clarify throgh conducting meeting

Understand the process : How many h​​​​​​​ave do mistake? How diid it occur

• Select means proper identification of patient, correct drug its name, dose, routes, time etc
• Plan how to overcome this error by using double check by the senior or collegue on duty
• Do it in proper manner by the time with fixed period
