Answer #1

According to the Kubler Ross Model, the stages of grief are Denial, Anger, Bargaining, depression and acceptance. In this case, Purvi is unable to accept that her husband's illness is terminal, and that there's no cure. She is trying to deny the doctors diagnosis and argue with the improbability of treatment. So this is a case of Denial.
