Becoming a CPA requires passing the Uniform certified public accountant examination. In most states the eligibility to sit for Uniform CPA examination is 150 hour rule, which means you have to complete an additional year in graduation other the 4 years, that is total 5 years of graduation is required. Further many universities offer combined 5 year bachelor's degree program.
Many states also require CPA to also be experienced by 1 year. It is a rule called Education, Examination and Experience.
CPA have the ability and license to provide accounting services to clients as well as they can attest financial statements.
CPE (continuing professional education) is also a must to hold CPA active, in case failed to comply CPE, CPA will be considered inactive and the CPA wont be eligible to provide attestation services.
Advantages, I can find that CPA can earn a lot of money compared to a bachelor's degree and also provide assistance to public by giving an opinion on the financial state of companies.
Disadvantages, for me becoming CPA stands a difficult thing because it takes a lot of time and hardwork and also the requirement of experience of 1 year a huddle, one more thing is if we stop CPE the certificate of CPA Wont have any value
Yes, I would like to take this step, because we can earn a lot of money on one hand serving the people's needs, and it also stands as a challenge for me keeping aside the disadvantages.
