Lisa suspects that she is pregnant because her menstrual period is already 3 weeks late. She asks her friend, who is a nurse, how to use the pregnancy test that she bought so that she can obtain the best results.

Ans) Teach Lisa, that she should wait to take a pregnancy test until the week after missed period for the most accurate result.

- If she don't want to wait until missed period, then wait at least one to two weeks after sex.

- If you are pregnant, your body needs time to develop detectable levels of HCG.
Follow these simple steps to use home pregnancy test:
• Take the test 5-10 days after you miss your period. Collect the morning urine mid-stream in a clean container.
• Add the urine sample to the marked pit or absorbent tip using a dropper.
• Leave the pregnancy test undisturbed and check the result after the stated time.
- Results may also be more accurate if you do the test first thing in the morning, when your urine is more concentrated. Urine home pregnancy tests are about 99% accurate. Blood tests are even more accurate than this.
