Street teams ,Crisis intervention and brokering community services :

Street team is a marketing team that operates in less structured settings to promote a product or brand. In healthcare ,Streat teams means a group of healthcare staff, physicians or nurses provides health care services to the homeless people by using a mobile medical facility. The street team may have physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physician assistants , students nurses and a number of other health care professionals.

Crisis intervention is a group of therapeutic techniques that used to offer  emergency , short term help for the individuals who are in a crisis situation( death of loved ones, disasters like earthquake or tornadoes, medical illness, rape, murder attempts) . Crisis intervention is provided to the victim to prevent any further psychological trauma.

Brokering community services is a form of community support that promote health education to client and family and also coordinating and doing refferal services especially for disabled people in the society. Community brokering services can be carried out by brokers( who will contact the client, do the assessment and carried out the action plan approved by region staff.

The main activity by the street teams is meeting the health care needs of homehomeless people such as chronic disease management, treatment of acute illness, wound care and prescribing over the counter medications. Whereas the crisis team works together for the individual who faces a crisis to provide psychological support and prevent further psychological trauma. Community brokering services are aimed at assisting the person with disabilities by assigning a community service broker to assess and carry out plan of action or do the refferal services.
