Unfortunately, getting reliable information that is less biased than the media is famous for (bad news sells) is often difficult and requires people to actually work at learning what's going on. What are your thoughts on the idea of fairness between trading partners?

ANSWER: Fairness is about honesty, building stronger relationships, and building goodwill that are beneficial to all concerned. Thus the fairness between trading partners is based on dialogue, respect, and transparency that seeks greater equity in international trade. It ensures more stable trade relationships, enhanced efficiency, increased innovation, and drives economic growth for the economy. The main characteristics of fairness are respect of contractual obligations, transparency in price setting, clear as well as fair terms of payment, providing protection against price volatility, good personal relationships, mutual respect. Good relationships in trading partners at different nodes of the supply chain are rooted from fairness and it can contribute to higher trust levels and more stable trade relationships thus seeking benefits for all.
