Answer #1

Ans c)

The density of oil is lesser than water whereas vinegar is a solution of acetic acid in water so denser than water.

Density is given as : mass / volume

Since here bottle is same , so the volume remains same . So the bottle with vinegar (higher density) only will have more mass than the bottle filled with oil only.

Lab 24 Part 2: Materials- 2 glass bottles, metal utensil Methods- One bottle was filled about a quarter with water. The bottle was gently tapped at the top with a metal utensil. Gradually the bottle was filled with more water and the sound was observed as it became more filled. The same experiment was done again but instead it was blown across the top to create a sound. Then a partner blew on the top of an empty bottle while...

Here is a description of a familiar course of events; A glass bottle filled with water was placed in the freezer. Sometime later it was found that the water had frozen and the glass bottle had cracked open. In answering the following questions, cite evidence from the above description and experiments you have performed in the laboratory. Upon freezing, did the volume of the water increase, decrease, or remain the same? Upon freezing, did the mass of the water increase,...

Estimate H if the bottle is kept at 13 °C Wine bottles are never completely filled: a small volume of air is left in the glass bottle's cylindrically shaped neck (inner diameter d- 18.5 mm) to allow for wine's fairly large coefficient of thermal expansion. The distance H between the surface of the liquid contents and the bottom of the cork is called the "headspace height (Figure 1), and is typically H 1.5 cm for a 750-mL bottle filled at...
