Differences in mortality rates have been observed in different countries and states based on  race and gender.Dartmouth Atlas of Health care has conducted a study in 306 different hospital referral regions in United States taking medicare members as samples.The result clearly showed the differences in treatments according to the choice of the patients,the belief of physicians and design of hospital location.
