Some of the ways the nurses can educate and explain the procedures to the patients in a way they can understand are

  • An effective communication and explaining  in the the language the patient understands and communicates improves the quality of care
  • A cultural competent care will enhance the relationship and make patient actively participate innthe care by clarifying the doubts
  • Health educating the patient by showing a case scenarios

The nurses can facilitate the teaching process by identifying the patient problem and needs, planning a content for the patient,planning the teaching methods and evaluate the patientsknowledge in regards to the topic.They can opt for educating either in a group or educating each patient during patient care like medication administration, diet,procedures,tests,etc.,The nurse should have a thorough knowledge on the topic before teaching the patient.
