Nurses plays a key role in the patient care.There are various members of the nursing staff. Some are as following

• Nurse manager are the one who is responsible for the entire functioning of the ward.Thet even take up the tools of associate nurse manager during their leave or absence and make sure works are carried smoothly
• Registered nurse provides patient care and can do certain simple procedures like Foley's catheterization, IV cannulation ,Dressing, etc.,
• Nursing assistant provides the basic care of patients like meeting their personal needs, personal hygiene ,feeding, mobilization, recording vitals ,etc..,
• Nurse educator concentrate on training the novice and the nurses on new technology and devices,they update the nurse periodically through training
• Infection control nurse ensure adequate infection control practices are followed by the nurses and other staffs and improve the quality of care
• Nurse practitioners generally diagnose and treat a patient as per the state law after getting adequate training and approval from the providers
• Certified Nurse Anesthetists are responsible to administer anesthesia for a patient who is about to undergo surgery or procedures and monitor their recovery from anesthesia
• Clinical nurse consultant plays a administration role
• Nurse supervisor, supervises the overall nurses in the unit and acts as a witness to consent in procedure like blood transfusions
• Incharge nurse takes role to assign staff to patients and guide them
• Triage nurses serves during the outbreak of any disease or disasters
