People get energy from food. We need energy for our daily activity and for good sleep. Nutrients substance in food like protein, fats, carbohydrates, minerals, and vitamins important for our muscle building, bone development and blood formation, it produces energy and repair body tissues. Physiological functions in lungs for providing oxygen to the blood, heart for blood circulation, stomach for digestion process, intestine for absorbing nutrients, liver for removing toxins from the blood, kidneys to filter blood from waste and extra fluids. Nutrients from our food play a vital part in survival and body functions and for healthy living.
Excellent food sources from protein-like chicken, pork, meat, sea fish, eggs, legumes important for growth and fight against infection
Carbohydrates like corn, beans, rice, tortilla, potatoes, bread, yucca important for energy.
Fats like oils, coconut, nuts, cheese, poultry, omega 3 fatty acids help to prevent obesity and further damage.
Vitamins and minerals like salmon, seaweed, liver, potatoes, garlic, fruits, and vegetables important for wound healing, bone formation and eye health and skin health.
