a) At 95% confidence level

\alpha = 1 - 95%

\alpha =1 - 0.95 =0.01

\alpha/2 = 0.025

t\alpha/2,df = t0.025,5 = 2.571

b) Degrees of freedom = df = 20

At 95% confidence level

\alpha = 1 - 95%

\alpha =1 - 0.95 =0.01

\alpha/2 = 0.025

t\alpha/2,df = t0.025,20 = 2.086

c) Degrees of freedom = df = 20

At 99% confidence level

\alpha = 1 - 99%

\alpha =1 - 0.99 =0.01

\alpha/2 = 0.005

t\alpha/2,df = t0.005,20 = 2.845

d) n = 5

Degrees of freedom = df = n - 1 = 5 - 1 = 4

At 99% confidence level
