CHIMNEY SWIFT : Chimney swift is a bird which belongs to the swift bird family named APODIDAE, and a genus member of Chaetura. This bird family is close to Vaux's swiftand and Chapman's swift family. Chimney swift has no other sub species. This bird size is in medium size, with sooty gray color, having long and tall, slender wings with short legs. This bird cling vertically on the surfaces. It feeds on insects and spiders and usually performs mating for its life. Chimney swift bird builds builds its nest in the form of bracket shape nest, where its saliva is stuck on to the adjacent vertical surfaces of the nest, usually in the form of a chimney build structire by humans. Chimney swift female lays about 4-5 eggs which are in white color. The egg hatches after 19 days and become completed one month later. The life span of chimney swift is five years.
