The female reproductive system works in a cyclic manner. The drugs that affect the female reproductive system works by altering the physiological cycle.

Hormones or hormones like agent are the drugs that usually affects the female reproductive system. These include estrogen, progestin, estrogen receptor modulators, fertility drugs.

These drugs affects the life span of the female by affecting various organ system other than reproductive system. These drugs increases the risk for cerebrovascular diseases and cardiovascular diseases. They also cause hepatic impairments and disturbed liver functions. They also cause renal insufficiency. These drugs also affect the bone strength and bone mass. Drugs affecting the reproductive system has also shown a close association with cancer including breast cancer. All these effects of drugs affecting the female reproductive system causes reduced lifespan in females.
