In an organization the concept change is inevitable. Change refers to any alterations or modifications occurs in entire organization. Any disturbance occurs in internal or external force of an organization results in change. A change of simple level will also affect each component of the organization. It might be of reactive or proactive in nature.
The there objectives for change are:
1) Creating awareness among the personnel in the organization to understand the need for change. Any change caused by external or internal sources in an organization will drive the organization towards the desired goals.
2) To identify resistance to change. Resistance to change in an organization is caused by individual factors like economic concern in which individual employee believes this specific change will results in lower income. It also creates a sense of fear on individual as they may not be able to perform or complete the task under change process.
3) Facilitating participation and involvement all level of personnel. It helps people to understand and enhance their knowledge. Adequate support,training session and provision of adequate resources from the management side helps employees to develop confidence to accept change.
Macrolevel: Macrolevel refers to ability of an organization to incorporate changes in a social domain.Three considerations are: Organizational structure is mostly stable and it is highly dependable.Any change in one part of the organization will affect other parts too. First focus on a common interest among all the groups. Second develop leaders and make them understand the goals.Thirdly allocate adequate resources for each group to make them function smoothly to accept change and to meet desired goals.
Microlevel: refers to the changes that occurs at the individual level. The prime goal is to identify individual differences. Eliminating individuals of higher resistance helps in overcoming barriers. Involving individual contribution in development of change strategies contributes to implementation of change easily in a microlevel.
