Steps in Administering the Snellen Visual acuity test;

• Before your're going to start the test, you should explain about the test and detail what you are going to do, so that the client will gain some knowledge about the test.
• After explaining, assist the client to stand or sit rightly in front of that chart. The client should be feet at the distance of 20 feet from the chart.
• Before going to ask the client about the letter, make sure that you are familiar and memorized that letter. Then stand aside with the client and cover one of their eyes properly without any gap to see the things on the chart.
• Now ask the client to read the letters from the top part of the chart and notice how long that the client is rightly
  pronouncing the letter in the line.
• After doing that, mark their one eye score and do that same process by covering other eye properly and ask them to verbalize the word.
• Then record the eye score and then remove the eye blocker on that eye and ask the client to read the letter without any blocking and measure the score.
• The scoring may starts from top 200 to end 10 ft. The normal distance that everyone could have is 20 ft.
• If the client is not able to read any of the letters, then use the chart made with pictures and follow the same principle.
• Finally document the test that you have done and report to the client about the test.
