Centre of gravity is what related to the vertical integration of a company, clearly going the more the extent of vertical integration the more will be the centre of gravity of the company and the more will be it's success and growth. May be you are clear now by the term.

Yes, ofcourse value chain analysis, is a tool which analyses everything from birth to death of a product. The vertical integration decisions mostly depends on value chain analysis. Most organisations uses this tool to decide on the extent of vertical integration and therefore determine its centre of gravity.

Thus we can conclude that company uses value chain analysis inorder to take decisions as to vertical integration and therefore determine its centre of gravity.
