10. (a). Barium and Magnesium are present in the same group in the periodic table. These are known as the group 2 elements. Group two elements have some properties like this are known as alkaline earth metal, used as medicine and also cellular life. Since they are present in the same group that why two elements are showed the same properties.

(b). The physical properties and difference between Mg and Ba:

Magnesium is silvery shiny and lightweight metal. The density of the Mg is 1.738 g/L. But still relatively lightweight.

Barium is pure pale yellow color, somewhat shiny and somewhat malleable metal.
