FEV is a Forced expiratory volume, it measures the volume of air
exhaled through the mouth with the full inhalation in the first
second. the normal range for FEV for the female is
3.25-2.5lit
FVC is a forced vital capacity for the total volume of air that we
can able to blow forcefully following the full inhalation. normal
range from 3.75 -3.25 liters.
FEV/FVC ratio parameters calculated by dividing the measured FEv1
ratio by measured FVC value.
The normal predicted percentage will be 70% and 85%, lower than 70%
is abnormal due to airway obstruction(asthma)
The patient is having 34.7% in exercise indicate the risk of severe
airway obstruction with uncontrolled asthma.
In the spirometry graph, there was a delay in reaching FVC(red
mark) blue is normal. This is due to the worst obstruction that
causes prolong expiration and it reduces the FVC and it changes the
appearance of the flow-volume curve.
Flow graph when starting point it has normal expiration and slows
down without interruption it indicates a respiratory
problem(asthma) it reached zero flow.
