Stock split - an issue of new shares in a company to existing shareholders in proportion to their current holdings. It split has a significant impact on performance of stock. Last it happened on June 9 2014 for Apple and on Sep 2 1999 for Amazon.
Dividend payout - a sum of money paid occasionally (optional) by a company to its existing shareholders out of its profits (or reserves). Its totally depends on the management on when they want to declare the dividends , once declared they have to pay.
Moving Average - A simple moving average that is calculated by adding the closing price of the scripts for a number of time periods and then dividing this total by that same number of periods. Short-term averages respond quickly to changes in the price of the underlying, while long-term averages are slow to react.
Moving average has the open of how many days of MA you want.
MA with number of days less than 30 is short term and is useful for checking short term trend and MA with equal to or greater than 30 could be helpful for determining long term trend. Having MA lines for more than 1 duration could be useful. for ex- we could take 3,5,8,10,12,15 days MA for checking short term trend of any script. and 30, 35, 40 , 45 , 50 and 60 for determining long term trend for long term trend.
Chart type - On a 1 year chart its good to use candle sticks to read the chart since its easy to find the Open , Low , high and Close.
