The phenomenon of Transport of charges from one surface to another surface due to friction between the two surfaces is called Electrification. The force between two charged particles is called electrostatic force. Examples are

1) When two clouds rub each other they both get charged oppositely. As a result these two charged clouds get discharged by giving up their charge to the earth.

2) Xerox machines are also use electrostatic forces

3) After rubbing the plastic comb with dry hair, it attracts pieces of paper

On February 7, 1999, NASA launched a spacecraft with the ambitious mission of making a close encounter with a comet, collecting samples from its tail, and returning the samples to Earth for analysis. This spacecraft, appropriately named Stardust, took almost five years to rendezvous with its objective-comet Wild 2 (pronounced "Vilt 2")-and another two years to return its samples. The reason for the long round trip is that the spacecraft had to make three orbits around the Sun, and also...

Sorry this problem has so many parts--thank you in advance for your effort. Conservative Forces It takes work to lift an object under the influence of the Earth's gravitational force. This increases the gravitational potential energy of the object. Lowering the ob- ject releases the gravitational potential energy that was stored when it was lifted. When you studied the gravitational force, you applied the term conservative to it because it allows the recovery of all of the stored energy. You...
