Answer #1

Traders can use a lot of trading strategies to make quick profits around the earnings announcement date.

One of the most commonly used strategy around earnings announcement date is Long straddle strategy.

It essentially implies buying a call and buying a put, both having the same strike price and same maturity. This allows the trader to make profit if the stock makes a big move in either direction, which is expected in case of earnings announcement.

To explain the situation, assume ABC corp will be announcing its earnings soon. If the trader buys a call option for $1 for strike price of $100, maturing in 10 days and a put option for $2 for same strike price of $100 and same maturity.

Then, the trader will have the option to either buy or sell the share, depending upon the earnings announcement. If the company does well, then the user can buy at $100 and sell at market price (which will be higher cos the company did well as announced in earnings) and vice versa. In this strategy, the loss remains limited to $2 but the potential to make profits in either of the two cases is immensely high.

Please read the article and answer about questions. You and the Law Business and law are inseparable. For B-Money, the two predictably merged when he was negotiat- ing a deal for his tracks.
