Ans) Case:
Suppose Current Wt=67 kg, Ht= 182 cm; Usual weight =72 kg (5 weeks ago)

Protein = (1.0)(67)
= at least 67g/d
-> use 1.0 for hospital patients (not 0.8)

- Fluid = 35mL/kg = ~2345 mL/d (basal fluid requirement)

- Energy = 1 kcal/mL formula works well for him (2300 mL is fluid requirement and that is around his kcal requirement of 2300 kcal)
- If different kcal concentration used then need to make up for the fluid (e.g. adding to the formula or just giving fluid on its own)
