Question

Problem with data for try #3: Consider the picture below The charge of the middle charge is 2.61 uC. If a charge of -2.00 uC is placed at a point 1.00 cm to the left of the middle charge, what are the magnitude and direction of the force on it? (Let a force to the right be positive and a force to the left be negative.) 6.00 C -2.00 p Defined symbols: 3,00 cm 2.00 cm charge in uC chargein HC in HC and q2 in m and q3 in m of the force on the -2.00 uC q charge of the test charge in q2 charge of the middle q1 charge of the left q3 charge of the right charge d12 distance between q1 d23 distance between q2 The answer is F2 magnitude charge in N Lints

Answer #1

Net for acting on q2

F = k 6*10^-6*q2 / 0.03^2 - k 2*10^-6* q2 / 0.01^2

F = 9*10^9*10^-6* 10^-6 * (6* 2.61/ 0.03^2 + 2* 2.61/ 0.01^2)

F = - 313.2 N
