Briefly explain why the conclusion that dark matter exists rests on assuming that we correctly understand gravity. Explain whether it is possible that our understanding of gravity is incorrect.
PLEASE DO NOT PLAGIARIZE FROM THE INTERNET AND PLEASE NO HAND WRITING
First of all , let us understand what dark matter really is. It is nothing but missing mass just because there is no visible light. For example - let's say a galaxy is moving extremely fast around another central galaxy, but we found that the mass of central galaxy is not enough that the moving galaxy can rotate that faster so there must be something else, which we cannot see , which is responsible for extreme gravitation force, this is what we call as dark matter because we just cannot see it but we know that is there.
Now, let's come to the question,
first of all, we must understand gravity is a universal force and our understanding of gravity is much accurate and well established. This gravity combined with Newton's law is used to find orbital speeds and from the speeds, we argue about the existence of dark matter. We also infer the that dark matter exist because of its gravitational influence of matter that we can see and it is properly accepted by all the scientists. Our understanding of gravity cannot be wrong because there have been so many positive observations which make it well established theory.

1) We humans recognize that non-human animal behavior is often predictable and that animals appear to have clearly defined goals and purposes in their behaviors. Which of the following is the most accurate and complete statement about this "purposefulness?" a. Purposeful behavior represents the strategies that are most successful in replicating the design information that builds those behaviors, arising in deliberate pursuit of biological reproduction. b. Purposeful behavior reflects the inherent purposefulness of the entire universe, representing the drive by...
Have you ever considered how we come to understand the world around us? Think about that question for a minute. What is science, and how do we use it to solve real-world problems? In our first discussion, I want to delve into thinking about the nature of biology. This includes what it is, the major themes, and how we come to form claims or knowledge. You should spend approximately 3 hours on this assignment. Instructions Use the text readings and...
Hi, please explai the answer for all three part of the quesitons,
espcially for part a, why can't you increase mass on both blcosk,
since the eqaution from work- energy theory proves that 1/2 m r'2 =
mgh , the mass doesn't really matter ??

Explain the following in terms a highschooler would understand (from article Expression of HoxD Genes in Developing and Regenerating Axolotl Limbs, 1998): DISCUSSION: Expression of HoxD genes in developing axolotl limb buds. We have examined the expression of Hoxd-8, Hoxd10, and Hoxd-11 genes in axolotl limb buds and find many similarities between the patterns of expression in axolotls and those described for other vertebrates. Similarities are most pronounced in phases I and II (Nelson et al., 1996; Shubin et al.,...
Can Dogs Understand Human Cues? EXPLORATION Dogs have been domesticated for about 14,000 years. In that time, have they been able to develop an understanding of human gestures such as pointing or glancing? How about simi lar nonhuman cues? Researchers Udell, Giglio, and Wynne tested a small number of dogs in order to answer these questions. In this exploration, we wll first see whether dogs can understand human gestures as well as nonhuman gestures. To test this, the researchers positioned...
Distinguishing Between Inferences and Assumptions To be skilled in critical thinking is to be able to take one’s thinking apart systematically, to analyze each part, assess it for quality and then improve it. The first step in this process is understanding the parts of thinking, or elements of reasoning. These elements are: purpose, question, information, inference, assumption, point of view, concepts, and implications. They are present in the mind whenever we reason. To take command of our thinking, we need...
A critical introduction into the study of religion.
Explain why Martin treats religion as a social construct—both the
category ‘religion’ and the stuff it denotes—using Kessler’s
discussion of the Dao and Anselm as examples.
How Society Works: Essentialism Animism and Essentialism According to some of the theories of primitive savages and primitive religion discussed briefly in Chapter 1, religion originated when ancient peoples attempted to understand and explain mysterious forces whose causes were beyond their primitive" understanding. What causes thunder?...
A Routine Endoscopic Procedure Our mother usually had an endoscopic procedure every 2 years. We thought that she had too many visits with her gastroenterologist. She saw the gastroenterologist about every 30 or 60 days. When we asked the physician why our mother had to come in on a continuous basis, his response was “acid reflux.” She was taking a proton pump inhibitor for her acid reflux. Our mother had an endoscopy of her upper gastrointestinal tract in September 2006....
Based on reading below provide two detailed paragraphs and explain the what makes us create and innovate? How does one find authentic creativity? In his last talk before passing away, Malcolm McLaren tells remarkable stories from his own life, from failing school to managing the Sex Pistols. He argues that we're living in a karaoke culture, with false promises of instant success, and that Best of the Web, just like the rest of TED.com, involves riveting talks by remarkable people....
