Nursing is filled with many grey areas where it is hard for the doctor or nurse to make the right choice and or be in conflict with how to continue. Nurses are constantly faced with ethical dilemmas and sometimes it really burns them out. Such instances include each individual having their own belief and preferences. Nurses must be able to differentiate and put aside their feelings/beliefs/principles to find a way to either explain some bad news to a patients, etc. Nurses are either unclear on what the right thing to do it or you’ll get a nurse who knows what should be done but cannot go through with it because it inflicts with their personal upbringings. Sometimes nurses or other healthcare providers choose not to further dive into their patients problems if they cannot come up with the right solution to whether the patient has an infection or if the tumor spread and they’ll just think I’d rather not get into that. In the research simulation activity I was the both the researcher and respondent. Through its entirety I learned that the application of ethical principles enables a research project to be highly successful and effective to meet the goal of the study being conducted. In nursing ethics are the principles governing the conduct of the nurse such as the nurse patient relationship, nurse/families, and fellow nurses and society at large. A researcher has the obligation to follow and stay current with federal regulations. Ethics in research makes sure the patients are protected and that each person is treated as what they are, an individual not an object. In the simulation activity we saw how Jan Klein thought there was some misconduct concerning the health records of the patients not matching with the research record and like a good Samaritan and patient advocate reported the issue.
Nurses and doctors are facing conflict in right decision making. Nurses are facing lot of ethical dilemmas making them to burn out. Nurses ate prone to develop lot of infections. Researcher are encourage the nurses to apply ethical principles in clinical situations. Ethical principles helps in protecting nurses.
Question:
1. What are all ethical princes can be applied in clinical situations?

please reply to this post and ask one question regarding this post: Nurses are faced with a number of ethical dilemmas every day. There will be many cases in which a nurse will have to refer to nursing code of ethic to deal with these challenging decisions. "The Code of Ethics is the social contract that nurses have which exemplifies our profession's promise to provide and advocate for safe, quality care for all patients” (ANA, 2001). As nurses we must...

With technology advancing most hospitals have incorporated electronic health records, as this eases documentation and transfer of information between healthcare staff it can also present an issue with keeping the patient’s privacy. The ANA’s Code of Ethics for nurses states the...
please reply to this post and ask one question regarding this post: I believe nurses as lobbyists are essential to the growth of nursing as a profession. Nurses who lobby and push for political change in healthcare do it to advocate for their patients, change in practice issues, and to advocate for the nursing profession. Nursing is the number one trusted profession; they perform direct patient care and can offer a point of view that others in politics cannot. In...

When I am working as a RN, these provision is something that I need to practice and accomplish everyday. Nurses are patient advocates and we accomplish this by educating our patients to ensure they are making informed decisions, involving the...

The RN who supervises must know the basic competencies and their ability to perform the task. I intend to take accountability and know when to delegate and how...
Please read the following post and critique it and ask one question regarding the following post. Anyone in the health field should acquire the skills necessary to critically appraise quantitative and qualitative research to evaluate whether or not the research studies are well designed and executed. Research is critically appraised or critiqued to broaden understanding, improve or change practice, and to carefully examine all aspects of the study to judge research validity, reliability, clinical importance/significance, statistical findings, and the findings...
please reply to this post and ask one question regarding this post: The difference between values and beliefs is that beliefs are convictions that we believe to be true, without proof or evidence. An example of this would be religion. Beliefs often arise from learned experiences, resulting from the cultural and environmental situations we have faced (Davis, 2019). So often times our actions are based on our beliefs due something we have experienced in the past . Values are based...
Please read the following post and critique it and ask one question regarding to this post: Raw data or sampling, in either a qualitative and quantitative study is the core of the research as research is the core of evidence based practice. It is what feeds the study or research. Without it, you have nothing that will support or prove your theory. One thing we learned last week is that “…data analysis [or sampling analysis] are all scrutinized to ensure...
please reply to this post and ask one question regarding to this post. The nursing profession is so diverse when it comes to scheduling. Depending in the area of discipline you work it will come with different demands. Some facilities carry out different shifts such as twelve hours shifts and in others a nurse may work a shorter shift such as an eight hour shift. Most nurses these days work three days with twelve hour shifts in a week. Patient...
critique this post and ask one question regarding this post It is not so easy to always follow protocol. Most of the time ethical principles are not always clear cut, and you have to use your best judgment. I learned that sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and ruffle a few feathers to get things done. By this I mean doing the right thing is not always going to make people like you. In fact it can make...
