The methodology used in this study was cross sectional non experimental developmental research design, which will be effective for examining the phenomenon only at one point of time , but since the objective is to find out the health changes after the two years of clean-up of prestige oil spill, i feel the time period may not be sufficient to observe the health effects.
More over the , the study would have been more effective if it is a longitudinal study or cohort studies would have been more effective if time permitted.
Agree with the results obtained by the investigator.
considering the results ...it is evident that exposed subjects are at increased risk of respiratory symptoms and among which with the variable of smoking habit already present in the subjects , the carcinogenic symptoms are evident ...but not much specified about chromosomal abnormalities.
