Answer: Our immune system protects our body from any foreign invaders but the HIV virus damages the immune system which makes our body more prone to many other diseases. HIV can be prevented by many of the methods such as taking precautions while sexually active. Sexually active with a number of partners increases the risk of HIV transmission. Before any blood transfusion test should be performed about the HIV positive. Although there is no significant sign of HIV at an early stage antigen and antibody test can detect within 20 days. The nucleic acid test can also detect the presence of the virus. As AIDs is an advanced form of HIV, all the diagnosis can reveal the results for AIDS. It means a person suffering from HIV will be infected with AIDS.

When the immune system gets weaken due to the attack of the HIV virus, our body gets prone to many other diseases. Weightloss, infections, appetite loss etc are the common symptoms.

As soon as a person gets diagnosed with the HIV, the antiretroviral drug therapy should be started as this will help people with HIV live longer, healthier lives and reduces the risk of HIV transmission. The side effects include such as Fatigue, Weakness, Numbness, skin rashes etc. As a patient is suffering from the deadly disease, the caregiver must support him morally. Maintenance of healthy weight is necessary and having proper diet which also increases the efficacy of the drug and the treatment.
