Classification ; local anaesthesia
Indications ; tinnitus, post heretic neuralgia , to relief pain
Side effects; dizziness, drowsiness, confusion , come, seizure, convulsions, hypotension , arrhythmias, apnea, heart block.
Nursing considerations; not use to pregnancy and lactating mothers
Provide correct dose to the patient .
Check for any adverse effects and only give in short periods.
2.metoprolol tablets
Classification ;beta BLOCKERS
Indications ; hypertension , strokes , MI , heart attack , chest pain and kidney problems.
Side effects ; trouble sleeping , dizziness , feeling tired and faint , abdominal discomfort , toxicity , diarrhoea and depression
Nursing considerations; check for blood glucose level , checking and monitoring vital signs and monitoring liver function test.
3. Nutritional supplements
Classification;minerals , vitamins , fatty acids and amino acids
Indications; dietary supplement to the patients
Side effects ; hair loss , liver diseases , allergic reactions, joint pain , muscle cramps and psychiatric problems in case of over dose.
Nursing considerations; check for any allergic reactions , monitoring the electrolyte imbalances, monitoring liver function test etc.
4.pazosin capsule
Classification : alpha BLOCKERS
Indications : hypertension , diuretics and beta adrenergic blocking agents.
Side effects ; sleepiness , nausea , headache, orthostatic hypotension , depression , edema and palpitations
Nursing considerations: check for orthostatic hypotension , discontinue in case of rise of angina symptoms , check for syncope.
5.quatipine tablet
Classification :atypical antipsychotics
Indications ; schephrenia , bipolar disorders and acute manic episodes
Side effects; dry mouth , sleepiness, weight gain , constipation , orthostatic hypotension , tardivedyskinesia , neurologic malignant syndrome, dementia , somnolence , dyspahgia , extra pyramidal diseases.
Nursing considerations;
Do not give without prescription , provide correct dose , check for adverse effects.
6.acetaminophen
Classification :analgesic and anti pyretics
Indications : to relief pain , aches , fever , osteoarthritis
Side effects : hypersensitivity reactions , serious skin reactions , kidney damage , anemic, thrombocytopenia, liver damage , Stevens Johnson syndrome.
Nursing considerations; check vital signs , advice the patient to do not take over count medications, check for allergic reactions .
