Question

CASE STUDY OF REAL WORLD CHALLENGES Suppose you are a city engineer whose job it is to explore how to use more renewable energy in your locality. 1. Consider the resources in your city and select one of the following: Solar power Wind power Biomass Ocean Energy Prepare a feasibility study to convince a committee of citizens and local leaders that the renewable energy source you have selected is best for you locality. In your report include: 2. a discussion of the renewable energy source that is best for your town and why a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of this energy source a discussion of why you think your city should use more of this energy source how use of renewable energy will impact your city pictures and/or charts and tables to strengthen your arguments

Answer #1

Renewal energy means energy which is not depleted when used called renewable energy.

SOLAR POWER

Report 1) Title: SOLAR POWER is Best Renewable Energy 2) Summary SOLAR power important source of renewal energy technology are classified into passive and active solar. Solar energy is good option to replace fossil fuel as energy source. because solar power is renewable at absolutely no cost to supply energy 3) INTRODUCTION :SOLAR POWER is conversion of energy from sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic directly and concentrated solar power indirectly Solar energy is radiant light and heat from sun that is using a such as solar heating, solar architecture, photovoltaics etc It Is an important source of renewable energy and its technologies are broadly characterized as either passive solar or active solar depending on how they capture and distribute solar energy or convert it into solar power Active solar techniques include the use of photovoltaic systems, concentrated solar power and solar water heating to harness the energy Passive solar techniques include orienting a building to the Sun, selecting materials with favourable thermal mass or light-dispersing properties, and designing spaces that naturally circulate air The International Energy Agency said that the development of affordable, inexhaustible and clean solar energy technologies will have huge longer term benefits. It will increase countries energy security through reliance on an indigenous, inexhaustible and mostly import-independent resource, enhance sustainability, reduce pollution, lower the costs of mitigating global warming, and keep fossil fuel prices lower than otherwise. These advantages are global. Hence the additional costs of the incentives for early deployment should be considered learning investments; they must be wisely spent and need to be widely shared 4) Finding : pollution free is one of benefit of solar power . . . advantage : pollution free Renewable source Reduce electricity bill Low maintenance

Disadvantage .Lots of space required Depend on weather Expensive method to save electricity Solar power is good for environment because most commonly fact about solar energy it represent clean and green energy source one of most important method to reduce carbon foot print. Our national economy can also helped by solar power. The more people who for solar, the more needs will be for companies to install solar panels. They creates additional jobs for skilled workers, and consequently keeps the economy growing. 5) Conclusion : Solar energy is most important renewable energy which reduces electricity cost and one of the most important solar energy is good for environment because solar energy is free from pollution another most important role play by solar energy Is provide Job opportunities for skilled workers. And one of most important drawback od solar energy is its depend on weather on winter season or rainy season its create problem for because solar power work with sun rays and on winter no sunlight is present and another drawback of solar energy is, solar power is too expensive Main impact of solar energy to society is clean and green environment, pollution free environment, reduce cost of electricity etd
