Health care team will have an utmost importance in managing and improving the health status of the patients during hospitalization.This is because , hospital environment itself is prone to transfer many infections which are called as Nosocomial or Hospital Acquired Infections(HAI).

The role of the health care team is to practice the effective safety measures as described below.

• All the health care staff should be sufficiently get trained regarding the safety practices to prevent Hospital Acquired Infections.
• All the staff who expose to the patient should maintain adequate hand hygiene by following adequate hand washing techniques.
• Maintain proper hygiene for the patients who are with catheters to avoid CAUTI that is Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections.
• Disinfection of all medical equipments with chemical germicides or use hypochlorite solution to destruct the spores of certain organisms.
• Personal protective equipment should also be used by health care staff to be safe from certain infections.Those are gloves, face mask, protective goggles, gown etc.
• Education on sterilization and disinfection methods and the bins used for disposal etc.
• Also restrict the visiting hours and also the visitors should also need to maintain safety techniques.Educate the visitors about the importance of hand washing, techniques and the uses.
• Both the health care staff and also the patients should cover the nose while sneezing and coughing
• Should be safe about the needle stick injuries and also avoid reusing the needles.
• Best aseptic sterile and disinfectious techniques followed by the health care staff will make patients to be healthy and also free from cross infections.
