Answer #1

The "quantity of motion" is a measure of the same, arise from the velocity and quantity of matter. In other words, the quantity of motion of given object as simply the kinematic velocity (v) of an object, he defined it as the product (m v), where m is the mass of an object.

The equations can be utilized for any motion that can be described as being either a 'constant velocity motion' (an acceleration of 0 m/s2) or a 'constant acceleration motion'. They can never be used over any time period during which an acceleration is changing.

Each of the kinematic equations include four variables.

There are four basic types of motion in a mechanical systems :

i. Rotary motion = It is turning round in a circle, such as a 'wheel turning'.

ii. Linear motion = It is moving in a straight line, such as on a 'paper trimmer'.

iii. Reciprocating motion = It is moving backwards and forwards in a straight line, as in cutting with a saw".

The study of relationships between motion, forces and energy is called as "mechanics".
