1)Acute care hospitals are one which treat patient on a short term basis.In Miami Dade county there are approximately 7 acute care hospitals namely

• Kendall Regional Medical center,Westchester General hospital, West Kendall Baptist hospital,Baptist Hospital of Miami Inc. in Miami
• South Miami hospital, Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami
• Homestead Hospital in Homstead

2)Jackson West Medical Center is an acute care hospital .This is a 100 bed hospital built to meet the rise in patient number.It is to be named as Jose Milton Memorial Hospital .When the bed number I considered it is over saturated. But it has a capability of providing medical care to approximately 5,85,000 residents in a radius of 5 mile

3)A growing number of patient ratio has made most of the US hospitals to extend the limits of capacity in emergency and inpatient departments.In Miami the necessity of setting up an otger hospital may be needed in the future to meet capacity.
